Brown Bagging with the Birds

Every Friday until the end of February you are invited to bring your own lunch and watch the birds from the comfort of the main level exhibit gallery at the MRB Lewis & Clark Center here is Nebraska City. A local bird watcher will be on hand to help identify the birds that you see.

The Twelve: A Unique Underground Railroad Saga Spanning 150 Years

The Mayhew Cabin is co-sponsoring a program for Black History Month at Peru State College with several student organizations on February 2nd at 11 a.m. in the Jindra Fine Arts building, Room #205.  The program will feature information about John Brown, John Kagi, and a group of 12 freedom seekers that passed through Nebraska in early 1859 along with history of the Mayhew Cabin.
